Fairfield County Public Safety and Jail Facility
The project includes a new, full -service jail consisting of 384 beds and a new Sheriff’s office. Total area is approximately 110,000 SF.
The Project
The jail will include minimum, medium, and maximum-security housing; intake, visitation, classrooms; outdoor recreation areas; a full-service kitchen; sally port and other support spaces. The project combined three smaller facilities to increase staff efficiency, provide a more secure facility, combine Sheriff department staff and replace the existing jail.
WAICG was a subcontractor Granger Construction Company, the Construction Manager at Risk. WAICG was responsible for performing the general trades scope of work.
